That is why the Furniture Tech Lab Company from Boston (USA) has come up with an interesting model of a folded sofa-harmonic Elephant in a box that uses cellular technology, weighs only 45 kg and at the same time can withstand a weight of 862 kg. Just incredible!

Not only furniture in America are expensive, our furniture stores also do not differ in particular with democratic prices. Especially high price tag on model of natural wood. Boston engineers using aerospace cell technology make today’s novelty. It would seem that the folding structure could not be as strong as a holistic one. However, the Elephant in a box manufacturer destroys this myth. The basis of the model is the cellular core, which is composed and decomposed, while maintaining its original form. In the novelty used thin sheets of cellulose fiber, collected in the core of hexagonal form. This allows the couch to withstand a weight that is 400 times its own. According to the tests, the novelty with ease can keep a weight of 862 kg without breaking at the same time.

The manufacturer guarantees that under the proper conditions of operation the novelty can last 10 years. The assembly process takes only a few minutes and does not require any special knowledge or skills in the furniture industry. You do not even need special tools. It is possible to collect it unobtrusively, and even in the transportation of a sofa will give the forehead of most furniture, because the box with it has dimensions of only 70 * 98 * 46 cm and a weight of 20 kg. In the expanded form, Elephant in a box is much larger - 222 * 97.5 * 91.5 cm (length * width * height).

In the assembled form, it is easily placed not only in the trunk of a car, but also easily transported through narrow staircase spans, is included in any elevator and doors. In order to make you even more comfortable, the manufacturer also offers an additional pouf with dimensions 91.4 * 60.9 * 40.9 cm (length * width * height) in a folded state and only 94 * 43.6 * 20, 8 cm in a folded box. The top cover, both on the couch and in the pouf, is made of durable polyester, which has such a structure of weaving, which provides pleasant tactile sensations for the user. In addition to softness and silky, such a sheath is easy to clean and wash if necessary. Foamed polyurethane serves as a filler. Novelty has raised 155% more money for its issue than was necessary at first. Production started, the first deliveries should take place in September this year. Delivery will be made to US, Canada, UK, Germany and France. Until now, nothing has been reported about official access to other markets. The estimated cost of a sofa order is $674 (after the official release it will increase to $899), pouf - $119 (after - $159), set - $789 (then - $1058).
